- Los Tilos - The Enchanted Woods
The enchanted woods are located in the nature reserve of Los Tilos in the Northeast of La Palma. This is a beautiful walk with some spectacular plant life.
The route passes through a deep narrow valley which was once the most important and prolific water source on La Palma. Nowadays, most of the water comes through huge concrete channels that send the water to the farming areas below. The walls of the ravine are line with huge Frens and Liana plants. You'll climb about 250 meters to a lookout point with spectacular views and then descend to Los Sauces. On the way down towards the sea there's a banana plantation where you can get a guided tour. Eventually you'll end up at Charco Azul, where you can take a welcome dip in a natural swimming pool. The walk then continues on to San Andreas.
