The actual journey up to the starting point of this route is an adventure in itself. You'll need a jeep or to be part of a tour that has one. It's a bone-shaking ride along a very steep winding and incredibly bumpy road to the starting point of the walk.

The route follows a series a huge concrete channels which convey water from deep in the mountain to the agricultural areas below. It's a very impressive sight. You'll pass along hair-raising mountain slopes and come across the 2 mountain springs that provide much of the water for this side of the island.
