This is a spectacular drive.

Los Cancajos beach is one of the most popular beaches on the island. It's beautiful, with crystal clear water revealing rocky beds and volcanic sand. It also has excellent fish restaurants, good nightlife and some spectacular diving sites. Access is good and there are plenty of services, including showers and changing rooms. It's a very traditional tourist area.

For nightlife, go to the Centro Commercial, where you'll find Lambada, Tenderel, Tiuna and Bar Europa.

Los cancajos is one of the best places to go diving on the island. It's full of fascinating underwater coves, the likes of which, you won't find anywhere else in the ,Canaries. Visibility is normally very good and there is an abundance of marine life to be seen.

The beach is located in Breña Baja, on the east side of La Palma, the second next to the capital city of Santa Cruz de La Palma and the La Palma International Airport.

The waves are moderate and there are life savers on the beach between October to March from 11 to 17 hours; from April to June from 10 to 18 hours and from July to September from10 to 19 hours.

During the eighties, this area became very a very popular tourist destination. This is where they built La Palma's first hotels, just off the road that encircles the island.

If you go to Montana de La Brena, you can see some spectacular views of the beach as well as the whole eastern side of the island.
