La Palma is not your typical holiday island. Although it's a popular destination, it still remains untouched by mass tourism, unlike Tenerife or Gran Canaria. It's more suitable for walkers, nature lovers or anyone really who just wants to relax and take in the stunning scenery.

You won't find miles of golden sandy beaches packed with hot babes and gorgeous guys; calm seas and endless sunshine; Macdonalds, hypemarkets and shopping centres; huge motorways or a 'pumping' nightlife.

What you will find is; quiet, relaxed beaches with clean black volcanic sands; plenty of genuine local tapas bars (serving delicious food); small friendly supermarkets (with everything you need); people speaking only in Spanish; small disco bars and a very chilled out nightlife scene.
